Strategic Account Manager

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving new business development, expanding existing customer relationships, and identifying growth opportunities within assigned strategic accounts and designated market segments. This role manages complex sales cycles, develops long-term account strategies, and is accountable for achieving revenue objectives aligned with NMB Technologies Corporation’s growth strategy.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Strategic Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within assigned strategic accounts and territory market segments.
- Develop and execute long-term account strategies to expand partnerships and increase market penetration.
- Apply a consultative sales approach to understand customer requirements and align NMB products and solutions to deliver strategic value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and senior-level stakeholders.
2. Sales Execution & Account Management
- Own the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through contract execution.
- Partner with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance, and leadership) to align strategies and deliver customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate customer contact reporting, opportunity tracking, and pipeline management in Salesforce.
3. Business Planning & Forecasting
- Develop and execute an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for assigned accounts and territory.
- Identify growth strategies to increase revenue, market share, and customer engagement.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance updates, and market insights to leadership.
4. Revenue Accountability
- Achieve or exceed assigned annual revenue targets based on planned and new business growth.
- Drive profitable growth through disciplined opportunity prioritization and pipeline management.
5. Contract Negotiation
- Lead customer contract negotiations, including pricing, terms, and issue resolution, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
6. Travel
- Travel up to 40% within a designated territory, primarily domestic, with limited international travel as required.
7. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties related to the job function as required.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
- Working knowledge of OEM and Distribution sales channels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, long-cycle sales environments.
- Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
No supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
SALARY
At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $104,162.00 and $156,244.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
